Here we go

So, it has been a super year on all fronts. Except one -  I am as big as a Kruger Park Elephant let loose in the Amazon.

It's official, I am fatter than I have ever been - One Hundred and Fucking 20 point 3 Kilograms. That's 120.3kg's.

More than blogging on here (which helped a lot, and which I will be doing much more of) I have used this as a tracking tool. I started tracking my weight in October 2012, since then there has been a low or 2. Lowest weigh in was 103.4kg's in May 2014, and then this morning, the highest ever, 120.3 kg's.

Look, I am a happy guy, and I am still happy, and I am not crying about my weight. I do realize though that it is getting a bit out of hand, so, let's do this.

Instead of just eating okay and workout out for shits and giggles, I have gone out and spend a small shit house full of cash on the following:

  • A nice new Mountain Bike
  • A Cape Argus Cycle Tour Entry
Argus it is then, in 194 days.

I'll try posting my progress more often, and I have promised myself that I will not be posting in RED again, ever, or until I one day start fluctuating around my goal weight, which is VERY far away.

So from here on in, I will try and post once a week at least, and keep everything green over here.

As predicted, the last week was rough. Cricket in Bloem, only to see the Proteas be screwed once more by Mrs Duckworth and Lewis. That was Wednesday, back home Thursday evening, and then another 500km to do some relaxing with the wife and another couple on a sunny beach break away.

I never felt like I was missing out on anything, I had drinks, I had some bad stuff, but way, way less than usual.

And here is the kicker - I am 1.2 kg's down.

I am happy,

moving along swifty

And losing weight. A great week last week. Hoping for another one, although I will be driving to the cricket with some mates on Wednesday, sleeping over, back in town on Thursday, and leaving for the sea with the wife and another couple on Sunday. Back at home on Sunday.

So this week will be all about choices.

And keeping everything in check.

And working out where possible.

And not gaining any weight.

Hello 2016, here is my resolutions.

In just under 12 months I will be basking in the glory of having reached all of these.
  1. Weigh 95kg's, or less
  2. Do a proper sporting event of some sorts
  3. Do something great
  4. Stop smoking
  5. Eat better
  6. Drink better
  7. Live better
  8. Love better
  9. Become something great
  10. Be happier than in 2015

its an all green weekend

So I weighed in this morning. And I am down a few! Woohoo. Let the green streak start!

I have been a very good boy this week and ate healthy like a champ.

This weekend will be the real test, rugby world cup semi's, (boks by 4, aus by 8), a mates party, and another one on Sunday.

Here's to a great weekend, I will keep my head, stay clever, eat clever, and weigh again on Monday morning.

57 days of change.

In 57 Days I have a wedding where I am one of the groomsmen. My buddies wife has decided that the groomsmen should all be wearing suspenders. Bloody hell. Ask any guy with a bit of a spare tyre round his waist if he enjoys wearing suspenders. I promise you that you wont find many. You look like a complete overweight idiot. With the suspenders sliding around, and drawing all the attention to what looks like a light bulb on your ample tummy. Especially if you are in a white shirt. Which off course we are.

So there is my motivation, maybe she is doing me a favour.

I'll why in today or tomorrow morning, post it, and get grilling. Now.

From now on every day is Monday, at least for the next 57 days.

I hate suspenders.

Keeping it green

That's all I want to do. Today was a green entry on my Kg's I have shed page. I want 8 of them, 8 weeks in a row.

Hoping t o make it 2/2 on Monday, even if it is just another 500g.

Every bit helps.

If I can go at 2kg's a week that would be unbelievable.
